RENTAL AGREEMENT
When renting with STYLE STUDIO, you are agreeing to comply with our terms and
conditions. This means that you are responsible for maintaining the rental agreement below and will be held accountable for anything whether you have read them or not.
BOOKING & RENTING
When renting through us the rental period is to be agreed upon STYLE STUDIO and the customer. You will have the option to choose the date your booking starts, and a return date will be automatically shown on our system. You will also receive email confirmation.
Rentals are not confirmed unless full payment has been made. We do not offer holds on any garments.
The rental is strictly only to be used by the paying customer and is not to be shared. If we find that the garment has been shared you will lose access to our services and will be charged 2x the amount of the rental fee.
We reserve the right to refuse our service to anyone for any given reason.
RETURNS
STYLE STUDIO is the legal owner of all garments which means all rentals are to be RETURNED ON TIME. Our normal rental period ends the day after your event.
If your rental is returned late (more details below) you will be charged a late fee of $20 per late day. If a late return impacts the booking of another customer you will also be charged the cost of cancelling it.
If a garment is to be dropped off, it needs to be returned to the same pick up box at our address, the next working day by 8pm latest. We will text you all details of pick up/drop off locations.
Postal bookings must be dropped off at an NZ post counter the NEXT WORKING DAY and can be sent using the prepaid return bag that you received with your rental. Once it has been dropped off it will automatically activate tracking, if we cannot see tracking by 4pm on your return date late fees will apply.
If you accidentally lose or damage the prepaid return bag, you will be liable to purchase another bag from your local NZ post shop. This will need to be sent using OVERNIGHT COURIER. You are also responsible for sending through the tracking number. The same late fees will apply if we do not receive tracking numbers by 4pm.
Failure to return the item after 10 days means that we will treat the garment as a loss and you will be charged 100% of the RRP (recommended retail price) of that garment (to compensate for replacement), as well the cost of any following rental bookings that need to be cancelled because of this.
DAMAGES
Damages are defined but not limited to stains, rips/tears, pulls, or broken elements of the garment. For this reason, please be conscious of any jewellery, bags, clothing, shoes etc that could potentially wreck the garment you are wearing.
If a garment is damaged you will be charged the price it costs to repair it along with an invoice or receipt for proof. As well as $30 on top of that to compensate for our time and travel to have it repaired.
If a garment is returned in a state where the damage cannot be repaired and it cannot be used, or it is lost, misplaced, or stolen, you will be charged 100% of the retail price of the item, as well as, the cost of any following rental bookings that need to be cancelled because of this.
We try our best to keep all rentals looking as good as possible. In the unlikely event you receive your garment with any signs of damage, stains or is not up to standard. Please get in touch with us within 24 hours of receiving it with a picture and description of the fault, so that we are able to resolve the problem with you.
CLEANING
Cleaning of the garments are not required by the client. Please DO NOT WASH OR ALTER any rental in any way as it may lead to damage.
Any significant stains or damage need to be disclosed prior to return so that we are able to fix the garment in a timely manner. Please contact us as soon as you are aware of the damage before attempting to fix it yourself. If we find that the garment has notable stains or is extremely dirty and needs to be deep cleaned, you will be charged an extra cleaning fee of $30.
REFUNDS
STYLE STUDIO do not offer cash refunds, instead customers will be offered store credit that can be used for future purchases. All store credits expire 6 months from the date they are received.
We are not responsible for providing refunds if the item is the wrong size or for change of mind. Although we are happy to exchange garments if you would like something else, as long as it is exchanged on the same day you have received it. We will not offer refunds/store credit if you decide not to wear the garment.
If your booking is cancelled at least 5 days before your rental booking date, you will be offered store credit at the full price of your booking. If cancelled anytime after that you will not be offered a refund as it gives it gives us less time to rent it out to someone else.
SHIPPING

We strive to uphold our side of the agreement and aim to ship garments off a few days prior to your booking date, however, we have no control of postal services and do not offer refunds if your rental is not delivered by the date needed. Once we have sent your rental out you will be able to track using the NZ post website. If you have any troubles with delivery please get in contact with them so that they can help you out.
If you have chosen to pick up, we will contact you with all pick up details as well as when your rental is ready to be picked up. You will then be able to pick up anytime from then, please get in contact with us if you have any trouble.
GENERAL
We will notify you if you are owing any late/cleaning/damage fees. We are happy to make flexible payment arrangements if needed. If we do not receive any communication with you, or you fail to make payment, we will charge your payment method without notice, or we will pass your details onto a debt collection agency which you will also be liable to pay for the cost of collection.
STYLE STUDIO will uphold and follow this agreement so that we are able to provide the best possible service to you. If you are to breach this agreement, you will be terminated from accessing our services and will not be able to rent with us again.
